In an official announcement, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers terminated the tenure of Chief Sergeant Awuse and appointed Eze Chike Worlu Wodo as the new chairman.

Governor Fubara emphasized the power vested in him as he made these decisions. Eze Chike Worlu Wodo now assumes the position previously held by Chief Sergeant Awuse.
