Israel’s Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, recently engaged in a comprehensive dialogue with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to address the security challenges confronting both nations. The conversation spanned a range of critical issues, including the conflict in Gaza, tensions on Israel's northern border, and the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Katz emphasized the strong relationship between Israel and Ukraine and stressed the critical threats posed by militant groups in Gaza and Hezbollah’s activities in the north, both heavily influenced by Iran. The ministers exchanged views on the necessity of bolstering security cooperation to counter these threats.
While highlighting the urgency of international action against Iran, Katz called for a unified global stance to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. He argued that Iran's actions pose a significant threat to Israel, Ukraine, and global stability, necessitating immediate and decisive measures.
Katz stressed that combating Iranian aggression is essential not only for the security of Israel and Ukraine but also for maintaining international peace and security.
