Acccording to a report by Punch. Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, gave Nigerians assurances that the Nigerian Army Headquarters is dedicated to swiftly resolving any security concerns in the nation.
Lagbaja promised that this would be handled in a way that would benefit the nation and its people. Nigeria has numerous security threats, including banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, and conflicts between farmers and herders.
Many citizens have been killed or kidnapped as a result of the security issues, and millions more have been forced to flee their homes.
Speaking on Monday at the roundtable with stakeholders in Abuja, Lagbaja said that the Army will keep up its unwavering operations to protect the nation's safety and security.
He said, “I assure you of AHQs commitment to the timely resolution of all insecurity issues in a manner that is favourable to the country and its citizens. The NA, in collaboration with its sister Services and other security agencies, will continue to operate without any reservations in ensuring the safety and security of the country for the needed development of all Nigerians.”
