Barcelona attacking transfer target shuts down exit talks

Spanish Giants Barcelona have been greeted with some news concerning one of their key transfer targets. The player in question is Nico Williams who has shut down talks of an exit from Athletic Bilbao by claiming he is happy at the Basque club.

Barcelona may miss out on signing Nico Williams this summer. The 21 year old Spanish winger has put up interesting and exciting performances for Athletic Bilbao for the past few seasons. Williams form and talent has attracted interest from various clubs in Europe especially Barcelona who have been keeping tabs on him for the past few weeks. The Catalan club wish to bring in the youngster to fill up the void in their left wing position.

According to reports from respected Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano, Nico Williams revealed that he recently signed a new contract at Athletic Bilbao and is very happy at the club. The winger also declared that it is very strange to receive questions on his future. Nico Williams reportedly has a €58 Million release clause in his contract at Athletic Bilbao.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Nico Williams as he seems set to stay on at Athletic Bilbao.
