According to reports from DAILY POST, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on Nigerians to stand firm against the threat of terrorism following the recent suicide attacks in Gwoza, Borno State, northeastern Nigeria.

In a statement signed by Archbishop Daniel Okoh, the President of CAN, the association expressed deep concern over the resurgence of suicide bombings in the country and the danger they pose to the lives and livelihoods of Nigerians.

"We are concerned about the resurgence of suicide bombing in our country and the threat it poses to the lives and livelihoods of Nigerians," the statement read.

"This senseless act of violence is a stark reminder of the evil that terrorism represents, and the need for collective action to defeat it."

CAN commended the security agents who have been working tirelessly to contain the threat of terrorism and urged them to remain steadfast in their efforts, as every necessary intervention is welcome to prevent a relapse into the dark days of suicide attacks.

The association also called on the government to intensify its efforts to ensure the security and safety of all citizens, particularly in vulnerable regions.

CAN further urged religious leaders and Nigerians to unite against terrorism and violence, promoting peace, love, and harmony.

"We call on the government to intensify efforts to ensure the security and safety of all citizens, particularly in vulnerable regions. We also urge religious leaders and Nigerians to unite against terrorism and violence, promoting peace, love, and harmony," the statement said.

CAN expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for divine comfort and intervention during this difficult time.

The association pledged to continue supporting the efforts of the security agents and to work together with all Nigerians to build a safer and more peaceful country.
