Onifade Oyekanmi, also known as Ife, has admitted to the brutal killing of a 45-year-old Fulani woman named Usman Aminat in a quest for a money ritual, according to Vanguard's report.

The incident took place at Onifade's residence in Iyana Ajia, Ibadan, Oyo State, on March 13, 2024. Onifade, along with his partners Oyebode Olalekan, Ifayemi Ojeleke, and Jamiu Lasisi, confessed to carrying out this horrific act.In Onifade's account, they met the victim, Aminat, at a marabout's place.

She offered to introduce them to another spiritual practitioner in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. When they discovered that the intended practitioner was unavailable, they tricked Aminat into coming to Onifade's home.

Sadly, upon Aminat's arrival, she fell victim to the ruthless intentions of Onifade and his associates. She was strangled, her body dismembered, and specific organs, such as her intestine, were removed.

These organs were then burned alongside pig and goat intestines in a horrifying ritual aimed at acquiring wealth. In an attempt to hide their crime, they destroyed Aminat's phone and tried to evade being caught.

However, their efforts were unsuccessful as Aminat had previously used her son's phone to contact Onifade, ultimately leading to their arrest.

Onifade confessed that their motive was to perform a money ritual, but their plans were disrupted because the Muslim cleric who was supposed to provide the instructions had not yet done so, resulting in their arrest before they could carry out their wicked plan.

“The day she took me to Ogbomoso, we were told the marabout had travelled to Kwara State. She later called to inform me she was back and I asked her to come and meet me at my resident in Ibadan.

“She left Apomu to Ibadan and when she came, I and my friends strangled her to death. One of them dismembered her bodies and we used some part of her organs. Her intestine was burnt along with pig and goat’s intestines into powder form.

“We wanted to use her for money ritual but the Muslim cleric that told me about the ritual has not given me the instructions on how to use the powder mixture before we were caught”, he added.
