A woman has turned to X for assistance in finding her sister's killer. The suspect, Fatai Mogaji, who is also the ex-boyfriend of the victim, is currently on the run. Mogaji resides in Elepe Ikorodu, Lagos. The victim, Opeyemi, was brutally stabbed 22 times. It was the landlord of the residence where the crime occurred who alerted the police. Investigations are ongoing.
According to reports, Opeyemi had gone clubbing at Bells Bar Itamaga along Ijede, Elepe Ikorodu. There, she encountered her ex-boyfriend Mogaji. The two reconnected and eventually went back to his house together. Around 5 a.m., a heated argument erupted between them, leading Mogaji to fatally stab Opeyemi. The woman's plea on X aims to gather any information that could lead to the apprehension of Mogaji and bring justice for her sister.
The sister also added that getting to the scene of the incident, the victim was covered in a pool of blood and she was wrapped up and locked in the kitchen
