An article in Arise News states that Mr. Adeniran Oyebade, who is the Director General for the Olusola Oke Campaign Organisation in the Ondo Central Senatorial District, has harshly slammed the APC, claiming that the party's moves could cause chaos in Ondo State.
He argued that candidates should be well-known and respected by the public in order to voice their opposition to contentious or unpopular policies. By claiming that one candidate had engaged in criminal activity and had committed election fraud, Oyebade demanded that they be suspended from office.
On the grounds that it was tainted by fraud and did not accurately represent the people's will, he called for the election's annulment. "We would never consider this as plausible, but the APC as a party is ready to set Ondo State on fire," he declared. Our ideal candidate would be the most well-known and widely-supported one in all of Ondo State; someone who is well-connected with the people and has widespread support.
We are not looking for a candidate who is likely to cause division or who is known to beat his wife. Someone who is mentally stable is what we seek. The party should suspend Ododo. Everyone knows that Ododo is a thief and a criminal. Ododo would have been incarcerated by now in a civilised country. Violating an election is a grave offence.
You have no business violating the will of our people by showing up at their wards and terrorising them. There was never an election, hence our goal is to get it nullified. To state that the election yielded no clear winner is unnecessary.
