‘Expect goals’: Nigerian striker welcomes pressure, eager for Rooney tutelage

Muhamed Tijani, the Nigerian forward, has expressed his excitement about joining Plymouth Argyle and working under the guidance of Wayne Rooney, according to Afrik-Foot. Tijani, who signed a season-long loan deal with the club, is eager to prove himself in the English Championship and help the team achieve promotion to the Premier League.

In an interview with Argyle TV, Tijani said, “It feels amazing being here, I am happy about it. I have a dream of playing in the Premier League and this is one of the ways to go there.” He also expressed his admiration for Wayne Rooney, saying, “Whilst growing up, I watched some of his games. He was excellent, so learning from him will be a great experience for me.”

Tijani, who has scored goals in various competitions, including the UEFA Europa League, is confident about his abilities and welcomes the pressure of playing for a new team. “I’m the type of player who always wants to win and score goals. You should expect goals and wins,” he said.

Wayne Rooney, Plymouth Argyle’s manager, has also expressed his admiration for Tijani, describing him as a player “with good pedigree but is also young and keen to improve.” Rooney believes that Tijani’s addition to the team will make them more competitive in the coming campaign.
