Chelsea are upped their efforts to secure Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak this summer, according to Chelsea Chronicle.
The Blues are actively seeking a new center-forward and have reportedly engaged in discussions with Newcastle regarding a potential deal for Isak.
Isak, who played a crucial role for Newcastle last season, netted 21 goals in 30 Premier League appearances, making him one of the top strikers in the league.
Given his importance to the Magpies, Newcastle is expected to be hesitant to part ways with the 24-year-old forward.
However, Chelsea are contemplating including Nicolas Jackson as part of the deal to entice Newcastle into selling Isak. Jackson, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal last summer for £32 million, had a solid season, scoring 17 goals in 44 appearances.
Despite his contributions, Chelsea appears open to the possibility of moving him on if it facilitates the acquisition of Isak.
The Sun reports that Chelsea are willing to include Jackson in a swap deal for Isak.
This proposal might make sense if Chelsea plans to sign another striker or retain Armando Broja to bolster their attacking options.
Otherwise, letting go of Jackson could be a questionable move, considering Chelsea's struggles up front last season.
