Today, Nairobi and it's environs aas marred with chaos as goons pretending to be protestors stole and destroyed businesses in different cities.
Well, just minutes after CS Kindiki spoke , ODM and wiper party leaders have now broken silence blaming the government.
Taking to his social media handles, Kalonzo Musyoka has now alleged that The president William Ruto ferried goons to the city to make sure that Gen Z protests were not peaceful.
"Ruto and your henchmen; STOP THE DISGRACEFUL PRACTICE OF HIRING GOONS AND THUGS to disrupt the countrywide peaceful protest inspired by our Gen Z.
Stop being tone deaf and sikiliza wasee bana!
The protests will seize when you and your regime heed the People's call for your immediate and unreserved resignation."
On the other hand, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki on Tuesday put on notice criminal gangs masquerading as peaceful protestors with intentions of marauding public and private property.
In a statement, the CS warned that security agencies were on high alert to intercept and thwart any attempt to harm the public and attack critical infrastructure.
Kindiki also revealed that the government had commenced investigations into the alleged destruction of property by goons and that action would be taken against those found culpable.
According to the CS, upon completion of the ongoing evidential analysis, the planners, executors and financiers of large-scale arson and violent robberies would be brought to book.
