Omotayo Adekolure, the brother of late Glory Adekolure, a final-year student at the University of Benin, has shared the heart-wrenching news about her untimely death.

In an interview with Punch, Omotayo revealed that Glory, who was tragically killed in Benin, Edo State, on June 13, 2024, had achieved a first-class degree in her final exam.

"The result of the only exam she was waiting for before her death was just released, and her friends told us during her burial on June 29 that my late sister had first class," Omotayo said.

He described Glory as a hardworking and dedicated individual who balanced her studies with a job as a makeup artist. Omotayo highlighted that Glory's commitment to her education and work ethic was remarkable.

She provided makeup services for people attending big events and her classmates, financing 40% of her education through her cosmetic jobs. With her earnings, she bought her own makeup kits, phones, and textbooks.

Omotayo emphasized that the family supported Glory's education because of her determination and passion. Her tragic death, just before she could celebrate her academic achievements, has left her family and friends devastated.

Glory's story has touched many, highlighting the challenges and triumphs of students balancing their education with work.

Her dedication and achievements serve as an inspiration, even as her untimely death is mourned by those who knew and loved her.
