During the round of 16, Havertz made a record in the tournament with cumulative expected goals value of 2.0. This is the highest by any player in a single game so far in the tournament. Interestingly, this was not for nothing. He scored one goal in the encounter to give his country a 2-0 win.
The man that comes closest to the Chelsea star is Georges Mikautadze. This Georgian goal poacher has earned an xG value of 2.3 in three games so far in the competition. He is followed by Kylian Mbappé of France. This striker has managed to garner 2.1 expected goals in the tournament. Despite being the pre-tournament favourite for the golden boot, this Frenchman is currently behind Havertz in the race for the top scorer.
