Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has expressed his satisfaction with Arsenal and Ghana star midfielder Thomas Partey's performance ahead of their North London derby against Tottenham.

The 30-year-old made his triumphant return for the Premier League title contenders in their last match against Chelsea and he impressed. However, there have been doubts if the former Atletico Madrid man would be able to feature in their next match, given that there was little rest.

Mikel Arteta initially opted for a start with Jorghino instead, while Partey gets to be on the bench, but in a recent development, it appears that the award-winning coach will stick with his three-man midfield—Rice, Partey, and Odegaard.

Despite his injury absence in as many games this season, Mikel Arteta has expressed his optimism for Thomas Partey before the showdown.

"He [Thomas Partey] is a really important player, and we have missed him for many months. He looks in great shape. It’s his presence, his quality, his physicality, and his experience.” The former Assistant manager for Manchester City stated.

Arsenal will hope to maintain their spot in today's game, especially now that Liverpool have dropped a point or two due to a loss and a draw in their last two matches, respectively.

The FA Cup winners will maintain the same attacking trio used against the Blues, which includes the likes of Trossard at the left, Saka at the right, and Havertz, who scored a brace against Chelsea, who will maintain his centre-forward roles.
