President William Ruto has faced criticism following his yesterday's presidential roundtable at Statehouse where he claim that despite everything that has transpired in the country he believes that he is the only one who can change things around and nobody else.

He addressed that having found empty confers left by president Uhuru's regime he has tried to pay some of the debts left by previous administration as well as reducing the price of fertilizers as well as Unga affirming that he is the only one who can face these challenges having been born as hustler.

"I believe I am the right person to be in this space when Kenya is in a difficult position because I believe I am the person who can sort out the challenges that face Kenya at a point like this" he said

In response to Ruto's assertion that he believes he can bring change to the country, Gen Z has expressed a loss of trust in William Ruto's government. They point out that his administration, which made numerous promises during campaigns, has failed to deliver. Instead, they criticize the government for imposing heavy taxes on Kenyans while Ruto and his allies lead lavish lifestyles. This stark contrast has left ordinary Kenyans suffering.

Gen Z, often described as hustlers who live a hand-to-mouth lifestyle, find it increasingly challenging to cope with the skyrocketing prices of basic commodities due to high fuel taxation. They argue that despite Ruto's self-confidence, his government's actions include intimidating Gen Z through abductions. These abductions result in individuals being held incommunicado and subjected to serious torture, with some victims discovered dumped in undisclosed locations.
