Dele Farotimi, a lawyer, has stated that there was an incident during Buhari's administration when some soldiers died in active service and they were buried in Kaduna. He said Buhari attended a party with top members of his political party and government during this time, but did not attend the soldiers' burial
In a video Farotimi shared on his Facebook page, he said in the same week a policeman was killed in an attack in France and the country responded by shutting down many activities, flying its flag at half-mast and mourning the loss.
In Farotimi's words: "Nigerian soldiers were killed by Boko Haram and they were buried in Kaduna. Buhari had time to attend party with top echelon of the APC and government but couldn't find time to attend their burial. One policeman was killed in an attack in France in the same week. France shut down and flew its flag at half-mast and mourned that policeman"
