Arsenal announces first signing

Arsenal have announced the signing of Lucas Nygaard having joined the club as a free agent after leaving FC Nordsjaelland and enjoying a successful trial.

The Danish keeper left the club in his homeland in January and has been without a club since but having impressed many at Arsenal – he has now earned himself a move to the club.

And after the announcement was made – the Danish talent opened up and revealed that he is very happy and excited about becoming an Arsenal player – Speaking to Arsenal.com, Lucas said: “I’m really pleased to finally be here. I have a good feeling in my stomach.

“As you all know, ARSENAL is a big football club and I was really happy when my dad told me there was some interest and I was going here on a trial.

Mikel Arteta has been told that Spanish star Nico Williams could have a major impact at Arsenal if they were able to sign the winger.

The 21-year-old has banged in seven goals and grabbed 16 assists in 34 appearances for Athletic Bilbao this season across all fronts and is a player that is attracting some of the games biggest clubs.

It is no secret that Mikel Arteta is looking to add some more quality to his attack when the transfer window opens up and is keen to bolster his squad with another winger – to help cove injuries etc.
