The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has reacted after he met with the Nigerian community in South Africa.
Benjamin Okezie Kalu stated on his verified Facebook page; "It was my pleasure to meet and interact with the Nigerian community in South Africa. The meeting provided us with an opportunity to discuss their challenges and strategies to resolve them, highlighting several areas that require attention."
He added; "Our discussion centered on various topics, including economic opportunities, social integration, and the protection of Nigerian citizens’ rights abroad. We explored ways to leverage the skills and experiences of our diaspora community to contribute to both South Africa’s development and Nigeria’s growth."
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives stated further; "I urged members of the community to continue to promote good neighborly relations with their hosts, showcasing the best of Nigerian values and patriotism by being law-abiding, respecting law enforcement, working diligently, and fostering entrepreneurship."
The All Progressives Congress chieftain noted; "I further assured the community of my commitment, and that of my office, to addressing the issues faced by Nigerians in the diaspora, particularly those in South Africa in collaboration with the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM)."
