The son of Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has faced criticism for remaining in Miami while Israeli reservists return to fight against Hamas. Yair Netanyahu, 32, has been in Florida since April after his father advised him to stop posting inflammatory content on social media, which led to multiple defamation lawsuits.

Approximately 360,000 reservists have been called up, many of whom left their lives behind to return to Israel and join the fight. However, Yair's continued stay in Miami has frustrated some soldiers. One volunteer on the northern front expressed his discontent, stating that while he is on the front lines, Yair is enjoying life in Miami. Another soldier, who returned from the U.S., questioned why the Prime Minister's son is not in Israel during this critical time.

Yair Netanyahu, who studied theatre and served in the IDF's spokesman's unit rather than in combat, has not returned despite the national emergency. In Israel, military service is compulsory, with men serving 32 months and women 24. After completing their service, many can be called up as reservists until the age of 40 or older in emergencies.
