Two members of a robbery gang have told men of the Anambra State Police Command that they always target ladies during robbery operations in order to collect their valuables and have carnal knowledge of them, the command disclosed on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
The state police command announced the development on its Facebook wall, saying the two robbers, whose names were given as Chukwuma Diji, aged 35 years and Michael Edochie, aged 31 years, were arrested by operatives attached to the Abagana Division of the command.

It was gathered that the two robbers, who had earlier been declared wanted, were arrested for their robbery activities whereby they would invade the homes of ladies, rob them of their valuables and have carnal knowledge of them at gunpoint.
According to the command, sometime last year, they robbed a married woman and had carnal knowledge of her at Obinagu, Abagana and escaped when security operatives attempted to arrest them. They were thereafter declared wanted.
However, the long arm of the law caught up with them when they were arrested after entering the apartment of a young lady and her friend, forced one of the victims to transfer money into their bank account, after which they went ahead to have carnal knowledge of them.
According to the police command, they confessed that they carried out the acts. Also, at the point of their arrest, two locally-made double barrel guns, one locally-made single barrel gun, six live cartridges and one motorcycle were said to have been recovered from them.
They are expected to be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation.
