According to Vanguard, A violent clash erupted at the Osun Transport Management System (OSTMS) headquarters in Osogbo, Osun State, as rival factions engaged in a fierce battle for control. The chaotic scene witnessed hoodlums shooting sporadically into the air, forcing residents and shop owners in the surrounding areas to flee for safety.

The crisis began when a faction led by Wasiu Arogundade, Deputy Chairman, Operations, attacked the secretariat, injuring the OSTMS Chairman, Nurudeen Wakili, also known as 'Alowonle'. The attackers accused Wakili of extortion and high-handedness, alleging that he used the names of Governor Ademola Adeleke and his sister to collect money from members.

The violence prompted a swift response from security operatives, including police, DSS, Amotekun, and vigilantes, who were deployed to restore order and maintain peace in the area. Wakili, who sustained cutlass wounds, denied the allegations, stating that the disgruntled group sought to return the transport management system to the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), where their allegiance lies.
