Kyari: Tinubu knows how much the North rallied around him with massive votes, a word is enough–Group

According to the report from the Sun, a group under the aegis of the Nineteen-Seventeen Northern Consensus Movement for Peace, Unity, Empowerment and Development Initiative, warned against any attempts to remove Mele Kyari from his position at the NNPCL, stating that it would be detrimental to the ongoing transformation and revitalization of the company and the country's economy as a whole.

They attributed the push for Kyari's removal to the actions of certain leaders from 401 ethnic nationalities who might be influenced by those with vested interests in maintaining the status quo, such as oil bunkers and their associates.

The group also expressed concerns about a potential anti-north agenda, while maintaining trust in President Tinubu's commitment to economic, security, and infrastructural development.

They cautioned against any actions that could jeopardize the North's support for Tinubu's potential re-election in 2027, urging decision-makers to act wisely and consider the long-term implications of their choices.

According to the group, "It would be suicidal to nurse any negative attempt to unseat Mele Kyari at this crucial time that he is already transforming NNPCL unless the nation is not truly after the economic transformation and revitalisation of NNPC Ltd and Nigeria. This is apparently the handiwork of so-called 401 ethnic nationalities leaders sponsored by enemies of Nigeria’s economic transformation and general development, who are also suspected to be working with oil bunkers and their agents.

We don’t want to believe someone somewhere is nursing an anti-north agenda. We strongly believe this is not President Bola Ahmad Tinubu, having known how much the North rallied around him with massive votes and looking towards 2027 for his re-election, considering the President’s economic, security, and infrastructural developmental drive. A word is enough for the wise."
