Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has commended President William Ruto for his recent engagement with Generation Z via X-Space, an online platform. Speaking in Nyeri town during a thanksgiving service, Gachagua praised the youth for initiating a virtual conversation with the President calling it a positive shift towards inclusive governance.
Gachagua emphasized the importance of listening to all Kenyans, highlighting that everyone especially the youth has valuable insights and perspectives crucial for national development. He applauded Ruto's dialogue with the younger generation as a significant step in fostering unity and understanding.
At the event, Gachagua urged fellow political leaders to emulate the President's example of engaging directly with citizens and urged them to refrain from divisive rhetoric. He also condemned the recent vandalism during protests that began peacefully but were later marred by criminal elements.
Accompanied by his spouse Pastor Dorcas and several political leaders including Governors Joshua Irungu and Kiarie Badilisha, Gachagua reiterated his support for President Ruto's efforts to revitalize Kenya's economy. The gathering included clergy, community leaders, and other dignitaries from the region.
