Ruto Opens Up on Selling Part of Kenya to Arabs as Dubai Company Makes Serious Claim

Regarding the claims that his administration has ceded some of the nation's land to an Arab business, President William Ruto has provided more information.

According to him, not a single square inch of the nation has been sold to a carbon credit corporation based in Dubai.

This comes after rumors that three weeks ago, the State Department of Environment and Climate Change on behalf of the government, reached a deal with the Blue Carbon company.

The company is allegedly going to receive millions of hectares from the government in exchange for producing carbon credits.

Ruto, however, has refuted the claims, stating that his administration is in fact developing a new carbon credit fee to reduce the expense of funding adaption efforts.

"The regulations are en route to parliament as I speak with you. The President of State told Daily Nation in an exclusive interview, "We were able to reform the law, and as you may recall, I signed the new modifications to the new law approximately a month and a half ago.

However, the business has acknowledged the agreement's existence in a statement and has even named a few of the signatories.

"Prior to the signing of this momentous agreement, a delegation of esteemed official representatives from Kenya, including Mr Augustine Kenduiwo, Deputy Director of Climate Change Mitigation, visited Blue Carbon offices to discuss potential avenues of collaboration and opportunities," stated the statement.
