Police nab car robbers, others with stolen keke, motorcycle in Niger

According to Punch, The Niger State Police Command recently apprehended three individuals linked to the possession of a stolen motorcycle. The suspects, Dauda Alkali from Bangbara, Bida, and Liman Ibrahim and Alhassan Ndakotsu from Manbuhari village, Lavun LGA, were caught with a blue Hajoue motorcycle bearing Engine No. 152FNH3SW2Z70311 and Chassis No. LC6XCH5DSL1020623.

Wasiu Abiodun, the Command's spokesperson, confirmed the arrests and stated that investigations are ongoing, with efforts underway to apprehend the alleged seller, Abdulmumini of Kpakungu, who is currently at large. According to Abiodun, on June 6, 2024, police surveillance arrested the suspects following a tip-off. Dauda admitted purchasing the motorcycle from Abdulmumini with a fake receipt and, aware of its stolen status, sold it to Alhassan with Liman's assistance.

In another incident, police arrested Zingfa Nambon of Gwagwalada, Abuja, for conspiracy, attempted homicide, and armed robbery. Nambon and an accomplice, Francis Moses, reportedly tied up a tricyclist on May 3, 2024, stole his vehicle and fled. Zingfa was later arrested and confessed, with efforts ongoing to apprehend Moses.

The police detained Gwaza Bulus and Yahaya Amodu for attempting to sell a stolen Toyota Corolla. Bulus confessed to stealing the car from Abuja with Abdul's help and trying to sell it in Minna. Both are under investigation, and authorities are pursuing Abdul.
