Arsenal have been dealt major blow in their attempt to secure the signature of top Bayern Munich star, Joshua Kimmich.

According to The Mirror, Joshua Kimmich is unwilling to join Arsenal or Liverpool; instead, it's reported that the German international is keen on reuniting with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.

The Gunners are one of the many clubs credited with an interest in the 29-year-old who is considered by many as an all round player.

His versatility is said to be one of the reasons Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants him. The Spanish gaffer has always admired players who can play in multiple positions and Joshua Kimmich can play as a right-back, left-back, centre-back and also as a holding midfielder.

The Germany international who is currently in his home country defending his nation in the ongoing Euros, is in the final year of his contract with Bayern Munich and has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

It has been claimed that the German Bundesliga side wants £30m for Kimmich and would likely sanction his sale this summer, given that he will be a free agent next summer.
