Former Education CS Dr. Fred Matiangi who also worked as the Interior Ministry has recently become the darling of Gen Z's with many even asking him to vie for Presidency come 2027. The no nonsense former Cabinet Secretary was the Education CS when most of the Gen Z's were still in school and his tough measures while in the docket restored sanity in the Education Ministry.
During the demonstrations, many of the young people have named him as one of the most suitable candidates to vie for Presidency. A recent message by Narok County Senator Ledama Ole Kina has clearly expressed how the Azimio politician does not trust the former CS.
According to Senator Ledama Ole Kina, there are many things about the former CS that Kenyans are not aware of and the decision to forward his name as the most suitable Presidential candidate is from an uninformed standpoint. ''When I hear names like Matiangi being mentioned, I shake my head so vigorously. If you only knew.'' Stated the Azimio Senator through his official X handle.
Matiangi is remembered by Kenyans to be one of the most no none sense CS's and many especially of the young generation have felt that he is the right candidate for the top office.
