Edo Gruesome Murder: Body Of Graduating UNIBEN Student, Buried Amidst Tears, Agony, Call For Justice

According to AIT, The remains of the twenty two year old graduating student of Chemistry from the University of Benin, Glory Adekolure who was allegedly raped and beaten to death has been buried in Iyowa community, Edo state.

Family members and friends who came to pay their last respect for the deceased demanded proper investigation so that justice will be served on the perpetrators of the dastardly act.

Idowu Glory Adekolure, the 22 year old graduating Chemistry Student from the university of Benin, was last seen on the 13th of June 2024.

When her older sister visited her that day, she told her that before leaving for home to turn in her project work, she had gone to school, but she never made it home.

Her body was discovered dead not far from her home, next to a Pig Farm.

Her friends and family said that the wounds on her body were proof that she had been raped and killed by beating.

The late Glory Adekolure lived in the Iyowa community of Edo State, although she was originally from the Idanre Community in Ondo State.

Friends and family of the deceased gathered to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital Mortuary sixteen days after her horrific murder to take her lifeless remains for burial.

The atmosphere here could be best described as one of comfort and agony hugging.

There was a quick pause at the precise location where they discovered her lifeless body near her house before carrying the corpse for the final interment.

For the funeral, they continued on to the late Glory's family compound in Iyowa Community, Edo State.

The departed siblings, their eyes still welling with grief, demanded a thorough investigation into the events so that those responsible could face consequences.
