Former Lagos State Labour Party governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has taken to social media to question Nigerians if it is right for Lagos State to be squandering close to 2 billion Naira on a private aircraft, which it uses in conveying the state governor to different places within a space of 3 months.

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour who penned down such question through his official X account few hours ago, shared a document of the alleged expenses made by the Lagos State government for the use of some services in the state, as he alleged that in April 2022, the State government spent over 1 million Naira on helicopter charter service for the governor's regular travelling and it also spent 512 million Naira on the same helicopters in July and August of 2023

The businessman then asked netizens;

"Should Lagos be spending close to N2 billion in just three months transporting the governor in a private helicopter when most of his primary constituency in Lagos Island do not have portable water running from their taps?"

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour then disclosed that his government will rather use drones for project supervisions in Lagos State, adding that his government will not pay for officials to travel on private jets and any official that intends to fly a private jet will pay for such service.
