In a recent video on Facebook, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, addressing a congregation in Port Harcourt, emphasized the importance of vocalizing faith and expectations during prayer. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 4:13, he encouraged believers to articulate their desires rather than dwelling on past experiences.

He revealed that faith should be actively expressed, urging congregants not to pray silently but to declare their beliefs aloud. Addressing common struggles among believers, Pastor Ibiyeomie advised against focusing on negative past experiences.

According to him, "Open your mouth and declare it. Don't ever pray for something and keep your mouth shut. 2 Corinthians 4:13. So, anything you believe and pray for, go ahead and (speak). After I declared, I screamed: “I cannot be poor.” Say I hear! Are you getting what I'm talking about? Listen! Let me say this to you, for a miracle, stop talking about your experiences, start talking about your expectations."

"Many of us we talk about our experiences: “Things are tough, do you know I lost my business? Money got lost! My wife left me! My husband left me! He left me with the children!” That is your experience. My expectation is that: “I must get a new husband better than the first one.” Is that your expectation? Then talk it."
