Yahaya Bello: I went through hell, I was arraigned with my children publicly and called a thief—Lamido Sule

Lamido Sule, former governor of Jigawa State has advised former Governor Yahaya Bello to cooperate with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) regarding the corruption allegations against him. Drawing from his own experience with the EFCC, Sule emphasized the importance of facing the allegations head-on

In a video shared on YouTube by Arise TV, Lamido recounted his own ordeal with the EFCC, where he was accused of being a thief and was publicly prosecuted along with his children.

Sule described the agony and torment he and his family endured during this time. He said despite all that, he chose to cooporate with the EFCC and he was eventually cleared of all charges while also maintaining his integrity. He also admonished lawyers who staged a demonstration in support of Bello and urged the NBA to take disciplinary action against them for their conduct

In Sule's words: "I went through hell, I was arraigned with my children publicly and called a thief, my whole family was so tormented but then I submitted ultimately and I was discharged and acquitted"
