Senator Adams Oshiomhole, former governor of Edo State, has shared a personal story about his experience when he first arrived in Kaduna.

In a video recently shared on YouTube by TVC, Oshiomhole recounted how, upon arriving in Kaduna, he had no acquaintances and spent three nights sleeping in a police station before finding accommodation with some Gwari people in the bush. He noted that when he eventually found a job in Kaduna, nobody cared about his ethnicity; instead, opportunities were based on qualifications and competence.

Oshiomhole also highlighted the importance of looking beyond ethnic considerations in job opportunities and emphasized the need for a holistic approach to address the country's economic issues today. He talked about how previous decision made regarding industries and trade in places like Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Aba, and Port Harcourt have resulted in many people losing their jobs. He said these decisions which includes closing down factories or implementing policies that led to job cuts should be reversed in order to tackle the problem of unemployment.

In his words: "I came to Kaduna and slept in police station for 3 nights before I found accommodation in the bush with some Gwari people".
