Real Madrid set a reasonable €25m transfer price for Arsenal target who helped them win UCL

opera.com 2 days ago

According to reports from Spain, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is willing to let Andriy Lunin join Arsenal for a reasonable €25m (£21m). Lunin, who had a breakout season in 2023/24, is seeking a move due to being second choice to Thibaut Courtois.

Despite his impressive performances, Lunin was benched in the Champions League final in favor of Courtois, highlighting his limited opportunities at Real Madrid. Arsenal's interest in Lunin is surprising, given David Raya's outstanding form last season, which earned him the Premier League golden glove.

However, Mikel Arteta's history of rotating goalkeepers, having previously displaced Bernd Leno and Aaron Ramsdale, suggests that Lunin could potentially displace Raya. With Ukraine's early exit from EURO 2024, Lunin is set to return to club duty soon, and a move to Arsenal could be on the cards if the €25m price tag is met.

Do you think Real Madrid have set a fair asking price of €25m for Andriy Lunin?
