Former head of the Rivers State Independent Publishers Association, Oby Ndukwe, has stated that nobody from the group of persons who are supporting the former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, knew that the senators who came to visit Sim Fubara were staying in the presidential hotel, Rivers State.
Oby Ndukwe made this statement during an interview with a journalist on Arise Television. During the interview, Oby Ndukwe said, "only those in government and officials knew where the senators were lodged. Do not rule out the possibility that it could be internal sabotage aimed at accusing the Wike support group, so as to claim that they carried out the bomb attack at the hotel."
"Call for a state of emergency in Rivers did not go down well with the governor (Sim Fubara) and his people. That is probably why the governor is trying to link the incidents together."
