England's Bukayo Saka played a pivotal role as the Three Lions overcame Switzerland in a penalty shootout on Saturday, securing their place in the semi-finals, according to Dazn.

Switzerland initially took the lead through Breel Embolo in the 75th minute, but Saka responded swiftly, equalizing just five minutes later with a composed finish.

When the match went to penalties, Saka confidently converted his spot-kick, contributing to England’s flawless performance in the shootout.

Reflecting on the match, Saka shared his pride and relief with the BBC, stating, "I am going to put it up there, special. How we fought back and to go to penalties."

England's last experience with a Euro penalty shootout ended in heartbreak at the hands of Italy in 2020, with Saka missing the decisive kick.

Saka showed his growth and resilience, handling the pressure with maturity.

Saka's journey has been marked by significant challenges, including facing racial abuse after the Euro 2020 final.

Speaking on how he managed to step up again, he said, "I have faith in God. To come back from something like that is really difficult. Today I took the chance."
