According to The Sun, The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Campaign Council, Governor Umaru Fintiri, has dismissed the recent Federal High Court judgment voiding the nomination of Asue Ighodalo as the party's candidate in the Edo governorship election as a temporary setback.

Speaking at a meeting of the campaign council at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, Fintiri expressed confidence that the judgment will not stand, describing it as "a child's play."

The Adamawa State Governor urged PDP stakeholders to remain steadfast and brace up for the Edo governorship election, assuring them that the party will overcome the current obstacle.

Fintiri's optimistic stance comes after the Federal High Court ruled against the PDP's nomination of Ighodalo, a decision that has sparked concerns among party supporters. However, the Chairman's reassurance aims to bolster the party's morale and reaffirm their commitment to contesting the Edo governorship election.

In his own words,“Yes, there is a little setback. Temporarily. God will see us through it. I am referring to the three days ago court judgment. Anybody, who peruse and look through the entire process will know that it is a child’s play.
