Peter Obi Asks Tinubu Govt To Obey Court, Release Nnamdi Kanu

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has called on President Bola Tinubu to release Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), along with other imprisoned freedom fighters.

Obi stated that there was no justification for the ongoing detention of the IPOB leader, especiallysince he has been acquitted by the courts.

The 2023 presidential candidate, while addressing journalists on Saturday in Onitsha, Anambra State, urged leaders to intensify efforts in addressing.

Muric Warns Soun

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has warned that the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye, not to set Ogbomoso on fire.

This was sequel to the query issued by the king to the Chief Imam of Ogbomoso, Dr. Taliat Yunus Olusina Ayilara, for failing to notify him before embarking on his recent Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

The Executive Director of MURIC, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, in a statement, lamented that Oba Olaoye is provoking the Muslims by his actions.


Tinubu Signs Executive Order To Crash Cost Of Drugs With Zero Tariffs, Special Waivers

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has said that the new Executive Order signed by President Bola Tinubu is aimed at transforming the country’s healthcare sector by increasing local production of healthcare products, and promoting local investments.

Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Mohammed Ali Pate, had said that the Executive Order will reduce barriers related to the import of raw materials and equipment for pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

He said the policy change will enable Nigerians to produce essential items domestically, such as syringes, needles, generic pharmaceuticals, test kits, and long-lasting insecticide treated nets for malaria.

Shongom local government is one of such that has introduced the monthly sanitation and also encouraged households in the community by awarding cash prizes to cleanest them.
