Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) operating under the Southwest Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Supporters Movement have expressed their concerns over certain individuals within the party allegedly plotting against President Bola Tinubu's political interests. The group urged President Tinubu to take swift action in removing these appointees, whom they accused of pursuing their own selfish agendas rather than focusing on the welfare of the party and the nation.

According to a report by The Nation, Femi Bode-Banjoko, an APC Chieftain and Coordinator of the Southwest Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Supporters Movement, led the address, condemning what he described as a "satanic agenda" orchestrated by disloyal party members. He emphasized the need for immediate intervention from President Tinubu and the APC leadership to prevent the party from being hijacked by a select few with ulterior motives.

The group also pledged to expose individuals allegedly scheming to succeed Tinubu in 2027, insinuating that these actions could jeopardize the president's ability to complete his first term in office. Referring to allegations made by Jesutega Onokpasa, a prominent APC member, Bode-Banjoko stressed the seriousness of the situation, urging the party leadership to heed the warning signs.

Onokpasa had raised concerns about ongoing events surrounding the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's allegations against former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello and the perceived attacks on former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai, suggesting that these actions were part of a larger plot against President Tinubu.

Bode-Banjoko pointed out the irony of certain appointees using their positions to advance personal agendas instead of prioritizing national interests. He criticized their lackluster performance in office, attributing it to their preoccupation with political vendettas rather than addressing critical issues such as national security and economic stability.

Furthermore, Bode-Banjoko highlighted the contributions of former Governors Nasir El-Rufai and Yahaya Bello to Tinubu's presidential campaign, emphasizing their unwavering support and dedication to the party's success. He lamented the mistreatment of these loyal party members by individuals who failed to deliver electoral victories in their respective states.

The Coordinator urged President Tinubu to take decisive action by dismissing incompetent and disloyal members of his cabinet. He emphasized the importance of surrounding the president with individuals who share his vision for the country and can effectively contribute to addressing pressing national challenges, particularly in the areas of security and governance.
