Oba Maduabuchi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has given his take on the political crisis existing in Rivers State.
The crisis follows the defection of 25 lawmakers, said to be loyalists of the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
This sparked controversial reactions as the Court of Appeals voided the order that sacked the defected lawmakers.
However, during an interview with Arise News, Maduabuchi stated that the lawmakers who defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC) remain sacked in accordance with the Nigerian constitution.
He noted that the whole process was a move to impeach the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
According to the video, "Impeaching Fubara, of course.
In fact, I am surprised that by now they have not started the process.".
