Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries International, has attacked those who questioned why he's paying tithe to his own church since he's the owner in a recent sermon titled "Wisdom For Kingdom Prosperity - Part 2."

During the sermon, Pastor Ibiyeomie recounted a disturbing encounter with an individual who questioned the legitimacy of tithing to the church, insinuating that as the owner, he was essentially paying himself. He said, "

Reacting to this misconception, Pastor Ibiyeomie vehemently denounced such flawed reasoning, branding it as foolish and indicative of mental instability.

He said, "I don't have one cheque of this Church in my house. They bring every cheque and I don't sign any chequebook alone. Not one cheque of this Church is with me oo, all the cheques, they are with the professionals, they only bring, I sign."

Dispelling the misguided notion, Pastor Ibiyeomie clarified that the funds contributed to the church were not under his personal control, emphasizing the stringent financial protocols and oversight in place within the church administration.

He emphasized that he, like other members of the church leadership, adhered to strict financial accountability measures, with all transactions subject to thorough scrutiny and approval.

In a moment of candid reflection, Pastor Ibiyeomie underscored the financial robustness of the church, affirming that its wealth was not a reflection of personal ownership but rather collective stewardship.

He urged congregants to embrace the biblical principle of tithing with humility and obedience, admonishing against the temptation to question or resist this sacred practice.
