Since the popular festival in Ogun State, "Ojude Oba", trended online especially in X, what followed suit was the dragging of the state government concerning the state of their roads for weeks.

Amid that, it seems the state has succour to that after the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration launches an extensive initiative to rehabilitate and reconstruct numerous roads throughout the state. Commissioner for Works, Engr Ade Akinsanya, emphasized that prioritization will hinge on available funds and the economic importance of each road.

Stakeholders have identified 120 roads spanning all 20 local governments, underscoring the administration's commitment to enhancing Ogun's appeal to both local and international investors. The governor has mobilized various stakeholders, including royal families, legislators, and community leaders, to nominate critical roads needing urgent attention in their areas.

Rehabilitation has already commenced on several roads, with plans to extend work to others soon. Furthermore, Governor Abiodun has secured Federal Government collaboration for an additional 14 road projects, which include ongoing works like Laderin-Train Station (Phase 1), Adesanolu road in Mowe, and Liberty road in Oru Ijebu. This collaborative effort aims to improve infrastructure across key routes such as Babcock road via Ilisan market, Ayegbami road in Iperu, and Safetedo Street, among others.

After this surfaced online from the official handle of the state government, here are some reactions below.
