France manager Didier Deschamps has reportedly favored Adrien Rabiot and Youssouf Fofana over Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, despite the latter's impressive performances for the Spanish club, according to Sportskeeda. Camavinga had a stellar season with Real Madrid, helping the team win both La Liga and the Champions League. He featured 46 times across competitions and was deployed in various positions, showcasing his versatility.

At just 21 years old, Camavinga has already established himself as a top-class operator in midfield, with 233 senior appearances for Rennes and Real Madrid combined and 17 caps for France. However, despite his strong showings at the club level, Deschamps has not quite trusted the young midfielder in big games. Camavinga played just twice in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and was benched for the remaining games.

This raises questions about his role in the upcoming Euro 2024. Deschamps' preference for Rabiot and Fofana over Camavinga is interesting, given the latter's impressive form. Rabiot has been a Deschamps favorite, with 43 caps for Les Bleus, while Fofana has earned 18 caps since his debut in 2022.

France has a strong midfield lineup for the Euros, including Aurelien Tchouameni, Warren Zaire-Emery, N'Golo Kante, and Antoine Griezmann. It remains to be seen how Deschamps will utilize Camavinga in the upcoming tournament. Despite his impressive talent and versatility, Camavinga faces stiff competition for a starting spot in the French midfield.
