Russia and North Korea Allegedly Launch Deadly Assault in Kursk Oblast, Suffer Heavy Losses
According to the report from Ukraine's Pravda, Russian and North Korean forces launched a large-scale assault in Kursk Oblast but suffered devastating losses, with at least a company of troops eliminated,
Furthermore, in line with the data gotten from the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Magura" of Ukraine, they confirmed that Russian and North Korean infantry attacked from multiple directions, changing tactics from previous vehicle-heavy assaults.
This time, they deployed foot soldiers supported by ATVs, unloading troops into narrow wooded areas for cover.
The assault, which began at midnight, lasted over 16 hours and took place across open fields. Ukrainian forces responded with artillery and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, using cluster munitions to inflict heavy casualties on the attackers.
Reconnaissance units provided precise targeting, ensuring maximum damage to enemy forces.
On January 31, The New York Times reported that North Korean soldiers fighting alongside Russian troops in Kursk Oblast had been pulled back from the front lines after suffering severe losses.
Ukrainian Special Operations Forces later confirmed that no North Korean troops had been observed in the region for about three weeks.
However, on February 7, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Russia had once again deployed North Korean troops to Kursk Oblast. He reported that fresh assaults had taken place, resulting in hundreds of Russian and North Korean soldiers killed.
Despite the continued Russian offensives, Ukrainian troops maintain their defensive positions, effectively repelling attacks and inflicting significant losses on enemy forces.
