The senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Ireti Kingibe has stated that she has been in FCT politics for the past 20 years.
She made the statement while she was speaking recently on Arise TV.
She made the statement after the presenter asked her if her dispute with the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike is not about land allocation.
When the presenter said;
"I hope the dispute with the FCT minister is not about land allocation and I hope it is not about contracts because you are a civil engineer?".
She responded by saying that it is not about land allocation. Ireti Kingibe said she has been living in a house that she acquired the land since 1991. She said she is not interested in land. She said if anyone finds any land allocated to her in FCT, the person can call her out.
She said"
"I have been in the FCT politics for the last 20 years you can go and verify. I live in a house that I have owned the land since 1991. If you find any other land allocated for me in the FCT, come and call me out. I am a firm believer that if everybody took their one or two pieces of land, there will be enough for everybody. I am not interested in land. When the previous minister was there, I was very instrumental and I worked with him as the APC leader".
