According to The Sun, Slot aims to mirror Klopp's philosophy by adopting a dynamic, attacking style of play while also prioritizing an aggressive pressing strategy to regain possession swiftly.
Slot expressed his desire for his team to exhibit freedom on the ball but maintain positional discipline without it, potentially in a 4-3-3 formation.
“I hope people see my team at Feyenoord and will say that they played with a lot of freedom.”
“But when we don’t have the ball, we want to be really aggressive and people keep in their position.”
“If you ask me, I would say we played in a 4-3-3.”
He highlighted Liverpool as a desirable destination for him to depart Feyenoord.
He took over as Klopp's successor on June 1st following Klopp's departure from Anfield.
Slot had a successful tenure at Feyenoord, including winning the Eredivisie in 2022/2023 and earning accolades as Holland's manager of the year for two consecutive years.
