In a recent report by Premium Times, Mr. Eyo, a grief-stricken father, recounted the horrifying ordeal of his four-month-old baby's abduction by armed assailants in Akwa Ibom State. With anguish etched on his face, he vividly described the traumatic events that unfolded within the confines of his home.

In the dead of night, Mr. Eyo was roused from his slumber by a sudden and violent commotion at his door. Startled and disoriented, he sprang from his bed, only to be met with the sound of splintering wood as the door was forcefully brought down. In a swift and chilling intrusion, two unfamiliar figures loomed before him, their menacing presence suffusing the room with dread.

Demanding the unthinkable, these shadowy intruders brazenly insisted on seizing Mr. Eyo's innocent child. Driven by a primal instinct to protect his offspring, Mr. Eyo valiantly attempted to thwart their sinister intentions. However, his valor was swiftly quelled by the ominous sight of firearms and gleaming machetes brandished by the assailants, compelling him to yield to their menacing coercion.

In an act of unspeakable cruelty, the perpetrators callously wrenched the helpless infant from the arms of Mr. Eyo's distraught wife, callously disregarding her anguished cries. With callous indifference, they callously kicked her aside, callously callously and fled into the night's shroud of darkness, leaving behind a wake of shattered lives and profound anguish.

In his words: "I was half asleep when I heard the bang on the door. I jumped out of bed, but the door was pulled to the ground with force. Two strange men entered and demanded my son. As a man, I tried to stop them, but they brought out guns and machetes. I shrugged. They seized the child from my wife, who was screaming, kicked her aside, and made away with the baby. When I rushed out to raise an alarm to alert my neighbors, I saw them zoom off in a car that was parked about a pole away."
