Delta State Police Boost Efforts to Curb Crime Ahead of Festivities

According to Punch, In Delta State, two individuals suspected of being part of a church robbery syndicate are now in police custody.

The arrests were made by Orerokpe Divisional Police after a series of church break-ins at night, during which musical instruments were stolen.

The suspects were apprehended on November 19, 2023, following their involvement in these church burglaries.

The Police Public Relations Officer for the Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe, revealed that the arrests occurred after a break-in at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, 'Dominion Mega,' where numerous musical instruments were taken.

Acting swiftly on a report filed on November 17, 2023, the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Paul Obaware, led his team to the crime scene.

The police executed an operation based on the stolen items, leading to the posting of one of the stolen amplifiers for sale on Facebook by one of the suspects, Patrick Emete, on November 19, 2023.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass, reassured the public of ongoing efforts to enhance police effectiveness during the festivities and beyond, aiming to minimize criminal activities.

He urged the public to continue supporting law enforcement by sharing credible information through the nearest police station or the Police Public Relations Officer's office.
