Ekiti State Government Swears in Four New Permanent Secretaries

According to PUNCH reports, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has called on civil servants in the state to demonstrate a strong commitment to principles of probity, transparency, and prudence in their official duties.

Addressing the swearing-in of four new permanent secretaries in Ado Ekiti on Monday, Governor Oyebanji urged the appointees to embrace innovation and the use of technology to enhance their performance.

He charged them to bring "creativity, compassion and vigor" to their roles as senior government officials.

The new permanent secretaries are Mrs. Funke Ajibola, Mr. Michael Boluade, Mr. Foluso Akinwumi, and Mr. Rotimi Akomolede. In his remarks, the governor emphasized that they must see themselves as managers of both human and material resources of the government.

"You must be committed to probity, transparency and prudence, especially at a time like this," Oyebanji said.

"As human resource managers, you will be expected to foster an atmosphere of teamwork, confidence building and collective responsibility."

The governor further stated that the new permanent secretaries must position themselves as inspiring leaders and solution providers for their respective ministries, departments and agencies.

He stressed the need for them to ramp up the tempo of service delivery to achieve the administration's shared prosperity agenda.
