Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his commitment to collaborative and consultative governance aimed at delivering enduring peace and development in the state. The governor made this assurance during the presentation of the Certificate of Recognition and Staff of Office to the Amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom, Ateke Michael Tom, as a first-class traditional ruler at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

As reported by Punch, in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara emphasized the importance of operating as a team with the best interests of the state at heart, rather than as a dictator. He expressed determination to leave a lasting legacy that the people of Rivers State can celebrate and be proud of.

Governor Fubara highlighted key developments and decisions taken by his administration, including the approval of N80.8 billion during the sixth State Executive Council meeting.

"We are at a crossroads in our state where we all need to stand for what is right. It happens once in a lifetime. So, for now, be one of those people who will be on the course to liberate and free our dear state," Governor Fubara stated.
