According to Times of Israel, a massive wildfire has swept through the Etzion Regional Brigade facility in the West Bank, prompting the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) to evacuate the majority of soldiers stationed there. The fire, which broke out near the Kfar Etzion settlement, quickly spread to the military camp, necessitating a swift response from firefighters, IDF soldiers, and police officials.

According to the Fire and Rescue Service, the blaze was fueled by dry, windy weather conditions typical of the region at this time of year, rather than arson. With the fire closing in on the military base, a coordinated effort ensured the safe relocation of most soldiers, with no reported casualties among the troops.

The IDF has assured the public and military families that the Etzion Regional Brigade remains operational, maintaining security and monitoring in the area. Firefighters continue to battle the wildfire, focusing on containment and prevention of further spread to adjacent homes and businesses. Israeli Defence Forces soldiers are supporting ground operations, and residents in the Kfar Etzion settlement area are advised to remain vigilant and follow authorities' instructions. A heightened state of alert has been declared, with additional resources deployed to prevent the fire's spread.
